I feel weirdly confident that the reports of the contract offer were hours ago and nothing has happened since.
Seems like Freddie is really trying to stay a Brave. Just need AA to not overthink this.

AA has always let his FA's test the market and then he makes the final offer. He doesn't negotiate against himself.
Sometimes it works(Ozuna), sometimes it doesn't(Donaldson), though I think AA let the latter walk. So we'll see what happens here. Hopefully the former.

Friends at 680 say Freddie has a massive offer from Dodgers but presented it to the Braves to match because he wants to stay a Brave.

Sources told me before the lockout that Freddie Freeman's decision would come down to what's best for his family. He has family in SoCal & lives here in offseason, his wife Chelsea is from Florida and ideally would like to remain in the south, where they live in ATL during season
