I’m sure it’s a good pitch but for many of them at no point was it ever even close to a strike. Starts 6 inches off the plate and ends up 18 inches off the plate.

Very interested to see how we handle Laureano, Kelenic and Soler.
I think Laureano is likely non tendered or maybe tendered and traded if something can be worked out beforehand. Hes been productive but likely to get $7m or so in arb and the underlying metrics really don’t support that. Very similar profile to Rosario in that he doesn’t walk, isn’t all that powerful and has really had a lot of BABIP luck. I would really like to weed out profiles like this. We really need to prioritize some on base skills with our complimentary pieces. The lack of patience this year has been absolutely horrifying.
Soler obviously either traded or the OD LF. At least he has some on base skills.
Kelenic likely needs a year in Gwinnett. Has an option left.

I personally think they’ll stick with Soler in LF. Probably add an innings eater SP but don’t think they’ll do anything significant.

Acuña probably can’t play in the field every day. If we keep both Ozuna and Soler, that could be three guys splitting DH time.

I also don’t have a ton of faith in Ozzie going forward. Not a big OBP guy and he’s had a lot of injuries.

I agree with this. He looks like he has aged 10 years since 2022.

Ozuna is a sneaky trade candidate. Wouldn’t be shocked at all. Having the DH spot occupied every day is not ideal with Acuña’s situation.
