Not really. It hit 1st base and bounced up in the air. The only way he had a chance was barehanded.

He's gone 7IP + and given up 0ER three times this season before last night

He has a fricking 1.73 ERA

7 2/3, 2 H, 0 BB, 12 K is the best game he has ever pitched. I lived up by Cleveland for 15 years and saw a lot of his starts when he played there. He never pitched as well as he did last night.

Yes let’s bench the guy who finished top 5 in the NL in HRs because he’s had a rough outing against two of the best pitchers in the game in favor of a guy who has 4 career at bats.

It's more than just the last two games. He has been bad for a few weeks now. His OPS is down around .500 over his last 12 games.

Yesterday’s start was his highest game score in his career of every regular season and postseason start he’s ever made.

Lol at asking do you watch baseball besides the Braves like he regularly throws 8 innings of scoreless, walk less, 12 strikeout, 2 hit baseball.

It is objectively the best start he’s ever made in his life.

That’s literally just how he is. He’s always hot or in a slump. He looked just as bad in August as he does now and he recovered fine. He’s a streaky hitter.

I know that, but there is an urgent, desperate need for runs right now. Waiting for him to come around and join the party seems like a risky gamble to me.

He just happened to go ice cold at the worst possible time.

I’m guessing this stupid 12 o’clock start time has got to have some defect on this terrible baseball being played

Make no mistake this is awful on both sides

I hope that explains why our batters are swinging at dogshit two feet off the plate for the second day in a row.

No plate discipline for this team right now. This is very disappointing.
