Thoughts -

- For those that go to a lot of games, you'll have noticed that a solid swath of every game are people clearly not from the city/close metro. People who have probably planned a trip to see Braves/Marlins and go to the aquarium or whatever. Atlanta is and has always been dependent on this sort of crowd being a chunk of every game. And that chunk is probably not going to a short notice 2PM wild card game.

- Where you would expect better attendance would be, candidly, people like me/us on this board. Professionals, perhaps you live 10-20 minutes from the stadium in Buckhead/Vinings/Sandy Springs/Roswell/East Cobb, plenty of flexibility to go to a weekday, daytime game. Didn't materialize today for whatever reason.

THAT SAID, from talking to other NYO dads I think that crowd will be out in bigger force tomorrow (including me, pulling one of my sons out early to go).

Because you have four games in a day with their own timeslot to not cannibalize each other.

Also, you can’t start them on the weekend else even less fans will show up because of college football and NFL.

It sucks, but it’s not hard to figure out
