They can't trade him without taking on a bunch of the salary.
It's a shitty situation, but the only hope we have is blinding believing he will get out of a slump that he's been in for nearly half his career... aka... not a slump.

AA doesn't usually get involved in the rental business for starting pitching. If he goes and gets a starter, it'll be someone controllable at least through 2027, probably 2028.

I wonder whatever happened to all those Brian McCann bobbleheads they were gonna give out before the cheating and Covid in 2020.
