I think my favorite thing about Kimbrel (besides the upper 90s fastball and knee-buckling slider) is how consistently he throws strikes. Almost never really in danger of walking anybody.

I remember when he first came up his biggest problem was he would lose the strikezone. Amazing how much his command has improved since 2010.

Braves are 13-0 when they score.

I mean CJ will probably get more starts right now over RR because how he is batting. But RR batting .328 is no slouch either.

As much as I like them both we should look to deal one for a pitcher once everyone's back and healthy

They're also undefeated when they hit a homer.

We got time to figure it out. Let everyone settle in and figure out what to do in a month or so.

I checked out Gatis's Wiki page and found this
quote:

Gattis visited his sister in Boulder, Colorado, and decided to reside there. He sold his truck and worked in a pizza parlor and for a resort as a ski-lift operator at the Eldora Mountain Resort.[2]

Seven months later, Gattis moved to Dallas with his brother, where they worked as janitors for Datamatics Global Services. He met a spiritual advisor there, and on her advice, he followed her to Taos, New Mexico.[2] There, he lived in a hostel and worked at a ski resort. Three months later, he moved to California to find more spiritual gurus.[2] Gattis also moved to Wyoming, where he worked at Yellowstone National Park.[1]

He was out of the game for like 4 years. Great story on how he got back here.

We signed him for $1000.

I think he realized he could just blow away major leaguers instead of trying to nibble at the corners.

Obviously in the offseason we need to send everyone to be janitors. Popeye arms everywhere!

So on the season the Braves have allowed 29 earned runs and hit 29 home runs.

That's just ridiculous.

Another great game last night. Glad to see BJ get a few hits, & JUp is still a monster. The story continues to be written about Gattis. Unreal.

O'Flaherty has been lights out. You can pretty much guarantee a clean inning for him.

CJ at cleanup was really nice. I was thinking maybe him batting 3 and JUp batting 4?? We need to get guys on when JUp is batting. Just a thought.
