We have so many walks... Is it the approach or we can't swing and hit the ball against these guys

But series wide yes I’d add them and Suarez

No shite.

It’s literally been 4, but I don’t think he’s coming out anytime soon. (Muncy did just put a nice swing on that one, though). But what if Mahle does what we hoped Sale was gonna do last night, and get through 7, we somehow pull out another run or 2, win, and doesn’t tax the pen?

One of the underrated things about yesterday was we didn’t have to throw our best pen arms. If we can somehow get this back to L.A. with a fresh pen, I don’t hate our chances.

I just think you have to move on from Hyers after the season ends. So many guys in this lineup are just broken. They need a different approach.

Mahle stays in for as long as possible imo or as is practical.

If we are up after 6 innings, I’d turn to some combo of Didi, Suarez, Iggy to close to the game.

If we are still tied and he has pitched 6 with his count not too high keep him in. He’s a better pitcher than any other pen arm than the 3 I listed above

5 strong from Mahle, but some harder contact that inning. I would consider pulling him if we don't take the lead here.

Also not locating the splitter as well and was leaving a few up. Do that too many times and one of them will get put over the wall.

I trust him to pitch another inning more than Lee or another non leverage arm.

As I said above the best case scenario is maybe Harris will hit a home run since we can’t score any other way and then we use Didi Suarez Iggy to take the final 3 frames

Yes, but AA DEFINITELY needs to go. I was a big AA guy from when he was hired, but he has been living off of 2021 for too long

No doubt. I don’t think they—players, Walt, organization—like his philosophy or approach he stresses. I’m not sure it’s even consistent. Doesn’t fit this team, regardless. Not sure what magic genie’s out there that could get the most out of these guys, but Hyers ain’t it. And I was hearing whispers of this throughout the season. Of course, AA and Walt—who I’m sure had to sign off on him at the very least—could have done a better job of vetting him.
