blow it up

build around mike

trade all vets we can for picks? like in football?

build this pitching staff from ground up.

i'd rather be last place or next to last like we were for years until 1991 then we went on a huge run

How old was he at the time? Was he an extremely young player? In his first taste of the postseason? Or was he a 30 year old in the prime of his career who has never had a clutch hit in his lifetime? Maybe he did in 12u but frick if I know

His contract is worth its weight in gold. Still a lot of value despite his shittiness. Move him in the winter... hopefully before he blows up a knee in his winter ball league..

This is a question for anyone if you want to indulge me: What do you attribute Acuna’s lack of effort on? Why doesn’t he seem to give a shite?

The first step is firing AA.

Then it’s a matter of ridding the franchise of Riley and Ronald.

He gets pouty when he isn't playing well.

Maturity issues. And he's a prima donna

Said it earlier and I'll repeat, since 2020 Acuna has more MVP'S, one than postseason RBI'S 0.
That stat spells one thing and y'all know what it is.

Cause he doesn’t have that killer instinct and mentality. He has probably been blown and pampered his whole life and hasn’t had to work and hustle to get where he is. So he thinks what does he need to hustle for? That’s for lesser players than him. In his mind

Harris first two post seasons he played in he had a batting average of .089 and you would’ve been screaming to trade him

Main difference is Mike has never had a shitty attitude, made really unintelligent plays consistently, or loafed. Acuna has always done things that rubbed people the wrong way, but now he sucks as well, particularly in the postseason. That wears out a welcome quick.

If this was the WBC, he wouldn’t be acting like this.

The lack of clutch hitting was really disappointing. If you look at our batting average with runners in scoring position, I'd imagine it'd in the bottom 5 percentile of all teams in all playoff series in the last 10 years.

But I guess I'm not as generally disappointed as some on here. We lost to the Dodgers. Imagine that. Take away Strider and Profar, and their payroll is basically twice what ours is. Three of the starters they threw this series make 30 something million dollars a year, and the other one was Skubal.

But the lack of clutch hitting was definitely disappointing. Almost as if Harris and Albies are the only batters in the lineup with any heart and don't get scared.

Look dude I’m just saying trading away Olson is one of the dumbest ideas floated in the ATL thread in a long time.

He is underpaid for his WAR which at 4.0 was his lowest total I think since coming here and he will win the gold glove this year with 41 HR. Olson also is never missing games

Acuna? Trade him if you can get anything worth a damn. He plays like 70 games a year and is vastly overpaid by contrast with his 1.8 war

Acuna is a malcontent because he wants to be paid like like he is Mookie Betts but he deserves league minimum. Only reason he is an all star is cause the travel balls kids think is cool with all of the flashy shite
