They got over the hump because they kept adding more pieces, but getting Freddie after we took them down in 2021 was the start of it.
Acting like Freddie switching teams wasn't the start of the paradigm shift between the two teams is insane behavior.
Teams with championship aspirations don't let MVP-caliber players walk in their prime, and that's exactly what we did and we are still paying for it because Freddie has been the Dodgers best bat in a series where runs have been at a premium.
Yeah, it sucks to keep bringing up Freddie, but when he is a big reason why your team is about to be eliminated from the playoffs, it's hard to ignore.

didn't they win it the covid year? or are we not counting that? what about years prior where they made the WS and lost. we could not even sniff one then. i get it that is not getting over the hump but they were competitive for years before us in 2020.
they have always been loaded then they went and got more talent with freddie and shohei. they add quality pitchers like we wipe our asses
they have always had good pitching staffs it seems. kershaw, ryu, sherzer, buehler,etc, etc and now skubal, snell, yamamoto and glasnow.
