Suarez is good and the bullpen will almost certainly be improved I would just rather spend on bats or TOR arms and fill in the bullpen last.

I don't disagree.

Bur vhampionships are won with animal pens now. Unless you're the Dodgers of course.

Suarez has 76 saves the last 2 years. Dude is elite.

Allegedly he's going to be the 8th inning guy and close when Iggy can't go and will be the closer next year and in '28 when Iggy leaves.

Like the Yaz signing a lot. Very consistent, creates a lot of flexibility, really like the skill set. Great eye and elite OF defense with some real pop against righties. Great 4th OF.

You're doing a lot with the word "great" there.

Yaz is 35 and trending down big time from a career that hasn't seen an OPS over .770 in seasons where he has had 400+ ABs. Not to mention coming off a season where his xBA, xSLG and barrel rate where all below average. He's better than Kelenic, but he does nothing to move the needle in what was a putrid offense last season.

Kind of like you saying you'd rather money from a reliever go to offense, I'd rather next to no money go to a 4th OF and use it instead for actual offense.

Yes they’ve hit on a few but I don’t think it’s wise to spend 15% of your payroll on 2 35 year old relievers when you don’t have an everyday shortstop.
Thats a very fair point.

Not getting a reliable SS after 3 years with seemingly no intention to fill this void is one of the few gripes I have with AA. I'm still cool with spending some money on bullpen, but going without a good SS is troubling if you are serious about consistently competing for a WS.

We can sign anyone at this point at that’s all fine and good, but we’re not a serious franchise until we make a legitimate move for a bonafide SS.

If we open the season with Duban in the lineup, AA needs to be fired for bullshite
