So can the Dodgers afford him?
He won't be a FA till 2024 assuming Dodgers resign Turner they will have Freeman, Turner, Taylor, and Betts long term...
They will need to sign Buehler, Urias, Gonsolin, May, Lux, and Smith by then.....
Muncy, Kershaw, Kimbrel, Turner, Bellinger should all be gone by then
Rotation of Buehler, Urias, Ohtani, Gosselin, May, and someone else would be fantastic though assuming health.
Line up of
1B- Freeman
2B- Lux
SS- Turner
3B- ????
RF- Taylor
LF- Betts
CF- ????
DH- Ohtani

And I think Miguel Vargas breaks into the starting lineup next year, maybe in LF, maybe 3B
Bellinger is showing signs of life. I think he can still redeem his career, although he'll never be the 2019 guy again.
Hopefully they shed Bauer in the offseason. Kimbrel and David Price come off the books as well.
So yeah, I think they could afford him

Isn't Bauer a FA? Plus because of his suspension the Dodgers haven't paid him a dime in two years.

Bauer has a player option for 2023. Supposedly the Dodgers feel like they can void that final year if he’s still suspended
