College sports has no governing body and it shows. Everything is completely free for all chaos. Every school, every conference, every coach, every player. Everyone just doing whatever they want.

In the past when the governing body used to hand out punishments people whined that they were too strict and the rules were dumb. In the present when they hand out punishments they get sued and some fricktard pantywaist judge rules in favor of the athlete.
Little did any of us know that the NCAA was actually the glue holding the sport together for so long.

So question,
Does the fact that the schools AGREE to all applicable rules and regulations to play in March Madness not mean anything anymore?
What is the legal basis for basically any other athletic association out there to have rules if the NCAA isn’t allowed to have them?

Time for Geno Smith to retire from the NFL and finish his football career at WVU. He can get his grad degree and show the youngsters how it is done.

Then the govt told them, a private organization, they couldn’t make their own rules for its own members
How people blame the NCAA and not the govt for this is wild to me

The only way you prevent NCAA basketball from becoming a minor league of washed out pros and euro trash is putting in an age limit.
Otherwise you’ll start seeing colleges sign guys that wash out of the NBA regularly and Euro pros.

Name one thing the government has made better with their involvement. They make everything they touch infinitely worse. It’s 100% on congress and the courts.
But it’s also their MO. They get involved, screw something up, enough people complain, the government comes to the rescue, shite gets even worse.
