Do you realize what a stupid and petty statement this is? Funny how SEC team don’t win and the B1G does but SEC fans say the champions aren’t that good flags fly forever who cares if it’s an all time great team or not, it was the beat team that year and they did best a team from the SEC.

Who have they played?

They have no one until the playoffs. Typical big ten bullshite.

Unranked Penn state and Texas? WAFJ.

Ryan Day now has the highest win percentage in (major?) CFB history.

I’m not sure if Alabama was favored or not.

Also, lol at that Michigan team being possibly tGOAT.

Stop being silly.

Why not? They finished 15-0, they won The Big Game, they ended Nick Saban's career in the playoff, and they thrashed DeBoer's Washington team for the natty, you can't not include them in a debate of the greatest modern college football teams of all-time.

Right now I would take Ohio State over The Field for the National Title.
Who's going to beat them?
I mean anything is possible, but I just don't see anyone beating them

That margin of victory against teams that each only lost to LSU was insane

You can bet them for as much money as you'd like at <20% implied probability, so I'd suggest a hefty chunk of your net worth if you actually believe your nonsense.

I say this as someone with money on OSU to win the title.

I’m guessing from other comments you are an Ohio St homer. They could win sure but are not some unstoppable juggernaut.

Do you realize what a stupid and petty statement this is? A Champion is a Champion but there are levels to greatness. Michigan and Ohio State aren't in the discussion of the best of the best like '19 LSU, '01 Miami, '95 Nebraska or '15/'20 Alabama teams.

Sure, but who cares? Did anyone claim 2023 Michigan was the “goat” team? If so they are wrong, but it was an undefeated champion and they did beat the SEC Champs and goat coach in the playoff.

As for this year Ohio State it seems unlikely but 5 weeks into 2019 did LSU seem like a goat team? At the end of the day all I care about is the ring, which champion is “better” is just a parlor game.

Of course completely possible but Michigan doesn't have 2 first round DTs this season that Day will be trying to run into.

They are a solid team, but I think (maybe hope?) that Day has gotten over the having to "out tough" every team and realizes you can win games 35-10 without winning the rushing battle by 100 yards.

#1 Defense in country yielding 5 points a game.
Freshman QB with highest completion % in the country (over 80%).

This may very well end up being the GOAT team

Where is the game this year? Plus you haven’t beaten them since before Covid Ohio State hasn’t gone undefeated since 2002 we’ve seen them stub their toe on worse teams

The other 4 I meant as teams that could beat them in the playoffs, long way to go but Ohio State could certainly win it again.

It says in the subject Ohio State might be the greatest team in college football history. And the tweet has Michigan as a great team also. Neither has ever been brought up in the greatest college football team in history by anyone credible.

Well...there was a little cheating scandal for 3 of those games...a scandal that was proven out to be true. So that explains some of it of course. Also Michigan lied the Covid year so they didn't play OSU because they would have been beaten down.

I think in the 12 team era it's harder than ever to keep kids motivated. If OSU is 11-0 going into that game, as much as fans will scream from the rooftops, it doesn't really matter to OSU having a chance to win a national title.

Of course Michigan could beat OSU, but it's not that likely
