I think Bryson has the best chance of going really low on this setup so I like matching him with Rahm

Surprise all around at those pairings…both sides with some questionable moves. I can see the euros mixing it up since down 3-1, but why on earth would they break up cantlay and Xander? Those guys were on fire. Also notable to bench spieth…did he play poorly?

I would have paired Bryson with Finau, but it seems he's close with Scottie and that's been the trend so far.
Go look at their fourball record, its not good.

Have to think it's a combo of two things:
1. Not sure four ball is his best format, especially on this course
2. Have to think his recent back issues aren't conducive for playing 90 holes over 2 1/2 days - he was definitely going to sit at least one and maybe two sessions Friday / Saturday

Yeah, I guess I get that on the back issue.
But JT out of all the people to go back out is confusing. Also, the course is exhausting to walk so I’m sure part of it has to do with how your body feels.

So no one has said this...
Stricker set the full day of teams before today.
Looks like DJ and JT are two of our most experienced players, so they are playing both sessions. Meanwhile, all of the newbies are getting in one match today and getting their feet wet.
I'm not saying that's a good call or not, just what it looks like he is doing.
