Worst part about it is I don’t mind Tiger as a golfer, he’s not a jackass or anything. And he certainly didn’t force the media to treat him the way they do.

Do you not think Jack or Arnie would get this kind of media coverage in this time period? Especially if they had such a fall from grace like Tiger?

I will never understand why people get so mad at media/tv networks for covering Tiger the way they do but whatever

Y'all laughed at me saying Tiger needs to be at -4 heading into Saturday to be in contention....

I think people laughed at the idea he could get there, not that it was a necessary number to be competitive.

ETA - Nevermind, I see what he said now.

I didn't laugh at your statement... Spieth gets to go off early tomorrow.... A HUGE break after today... He could be at 10 or 11 under by tomorrow ends... Tiger needs to shoot a 66 tomorrow IMO... Then we will see what Happens....

Probably because Tiger hasn’t done shite since what, 2009? Almost a decade of him hardly playing and/or not playing well. Yet they still cover him like he’s still the best player in the world when there are a lot of guys that have been playing great and don’t get half the coverage he gets.

Ffs there's 3 more rounds left.

Yeah, but a two stroke lead for a top golfer on a day when the weather was optimal can be a problem. A three stroke lead was what he had before the bogey. We've seen him do it before. It's reasonable to want him to stay close.

If Michael Jordan came back to basketball tomorrow he'd get the same coverage.

People want to see the GOAT play golf. People bitch and moan like they really want to see Alex Noren make a 7 footer for par on #3 or some BS. You're seeing every relevant shot from every contender.

He took over #1 in March 2013 and held on for 60 consecutive weeks. No one has been #1 for more consecutive weeks since then.

Dumbass.

You wouldn’t rather watch somebody that’s been playing well for a while than somebody that has hardly played at all the last few years and couldn’t barely make it a full round?

Again, I don’t mind Tiger as a golfer and wouldn’t be mad if he won if it didn’t come with the year long blowjob from the media.

Tiger has the 5th best scoring average this season and has finished 2nd and 5th in his last two tournaments

99.9% of people would rather watch him hit shots than Noren if they are both in similar positions on the scoreboard

I loved all the Tiger coverage this week on TGC. Did yall know his dad called him Sam? Had never heard that before this week. He and Phil playing together and then the funny post practice interviews were great too. It's Tigers world, fellas. Enjoy living in it.

I think Spieth has this in the bag but I'd be shocked if he got to 10 or 11 under tomorrow.
