Wind looks to have died down some. Afternoon group may be able to get some scores on the back 9.

That has to suck for Sergio to not make the cut be out of it on the 1st day and you still have to play this tomorrow. The topping on that shite cake is having to stick around another 2 days with nothing to do just so you can show up in butler cabin and give someone else a green jacket.

Sergio has to be pissed off, and that's certainly one way to look at it.

However, another way to view the situation is this:

You're the ultimate VIP at the biggest annual event for the world's most prestigious club. Grab some whiskey, find a nice rocking chair on the clubhouse deck for Saturday and Sunday, and enjoy the hell out of it with your family. Like Jack said, the championships are meaningful personal achievements, but seeing his grandson get a hole in one on the par 3 course was priceless.

And while you're at it, it wouldn't hurt to casually network with a few club members who are in attendance. Sergio's a wealthy guy, but the members at Augusta can open doors we can't even imagine.

Ankle injury probably helped him. Forced him to not try and do a whole lot, just aim towards the middle and hit the ball. Working pretty well

You can tell he has almost no movement in that ankle, and he had his foot positioned a little funky on that last drive

I knew we couldn't make it through Masters week without that self-loathing Southerner, Wright Thompson.

Speaking of, Dustin Johnson and Rose are both 2 over through 9. That's a bit surprising.
