Tiger said the marshall told him that Sergio had hit. If this is true, no problem. If Tiger thought Sergio was over the ball or in his backswing, it's a dick move. I guess we'll never know for sure.

If the split screen replay showed earlier is true as far as timing, Sergio had plenty of time to step away.

You could speculate any number of things about what Tiger is thinking at anytime. You have to give people the benefit of the doubt based on actions, and Tiger's actions do not warrant the bashing he has received. The marshall said he could hit, he did not pull the club in Sergio's backswing, and I think its dumb to believe he was doing it for a "competitive advantage", as if Sergio is some titan player.

I saw the split screen and do not think that Tiger did anything wrong. Sergio could have backed off. He hadn't started his backswing before the crowd noise.
