The worst part of that era, looking back, was the quality of the broadcast.
Whenever I watch old footage and think about watching it on crappy televisions back in the 80's and early 90's. Makes me wonder how I ever enjoyed watching golf.

You're not kidding. And they all fell apart! I remember at Stanislaus (mid 90's), I was playing in a tournament and my shoe started falling apart. It made me wonder how anybody played the game day in and day out.

I was watching some Master's coverage with my mil this year, and she said the big difference was that before, (back then), guys would hit a shot and you'd watch them walk to the ball. Now, with so many cameras at the course, it's like non-stop coverage.
It had to be really boring watching golf in the 80's. I'd have been snorting and drinking the entire time.
