I haven't watched it yet, so I'll have to do that if it changed your mind. I just see a person with loads of talent who wasted it getting drunk and refusing to seek professional help, committed domestic battery, has made a mockery of the sport on numerous occasions, including straight up quitting, and was suspended several times. In fact, if I just posted that last sentence and told you it was an NBA or NFL player, he'd be one of the most hated athletes in sports. I just don't get why actual fans of golf like the guy. I can understand that a bunch of non golf fans like to follow him around at tourneys for the potential entertainment, but I'll never understand why people who follow golf pull for him.

Watch the interview, he talks about basically everything. He expands on why he did things the way he did them and all the treatment he tried, ect. It's a great watch

Everything you wrote is 100% spot on.
Given that, there's just something about JD that makes you pull for the guy. And the guy's a Hog which makes it even more puzzling.

I can see how he comes away as genuine in interviews unlike guys like Tiger and even Phil. So, I can see that people respect that. But for me, his actions have said all they need to. I'll watch the Feherty episode, but he's going to have to blow me away with an explanation to win me back over.

It's pretty rough inland right now so I'd imagine at the course is a lot rougher. I've got tix today and tomorrow but it's looking like rain later and I'll be damned if I'm gonna go out there with bad weather. There's no refuge for us patrons
