I swear I remember him having a very rocky start back. Was his putting atrocious or am I just wrong?

Good Christ

- Norm Macdonald

He’s always been streaky with the putter but that’s bad

So what’s the excuse for JJ Spaun?

Is JJ Spaun the level of player we think Bryson is? Come on man. Let’s be serious here.

The idiots on here told me Bryson was going to play bad today. He's actually playing the course which takes driver away. Go figure

Yep. Commentators suck but at least it’s golf. Been switching back and forth.

Jesus, just turned it on. Scottie 4 under through 6? I can’t turn the volume on for another 30-40 minutes, so not hearing any commentary. The guys who went out early today getting a big advantage or is the course just gonna play easier than they were scared of earlier this week with the “blistering heat” making is super dry and fast?

I know it’s an Open, and the weather and winds can change pretty quickly, but looks like perfect weather today, at least. May have to get nasty with pin placements and bring some of those bunkers into play.

Looks like Scottie bout to give one back at least here on 7.

Main broadcast just gave Scottie the graphic “1st bogey of the week.” It’s the 7th hole on Thursday.

The wind/weather is certainly very friendly right now.

The commentators have said the greens are too soft and receptive for an Open Championship. I’m sure they will dry the greens out going into the next rounds.

They should have watered the rough and baked the rest of the course out.

Rough hasn’t seemed to be a big penalty from what I’ve watched this morning. Would expect to see guys start just ripping driver everywhere like Bryson did on 10 if they don’t water the rough.

Commentators are mad mad about the Hatton/Scheffler/DeChambeau group being aggressive off the 10th tee. Bryson is 10 yards from the green in fairly short grass, and they are still mad and complaining it's the wrong play. Like it offends them if people decide to be aggressive on their courses.

Weather forecast for the weekend looks very mild from what I read. No threat of bad rain and only a little cooler.

I hope that changes. I like to see these frickers struggle, especially at an Open.
