Traditionally, the straight hitters will outplay the long, semi-wild hitters in the US Open because the rough is so nasty.
But I don't think that has been the case in recent years.

I can't help but laugh at the Golf Channel and their continuing hand-wringing over LIV (during the US Open)and how much they despise Phil(now), yet the PGA takes money from Saudi and China.

Funny Hypocrite....Golf Channel is there for a USGA event, YET they keep talking about LIV and Phil.

If the LIV tour fell on their face and crashed and burned I wouldn't lose a second of sleep but what's getting me is the absolute hypocrisy of Rory McIIroy
He's from Northern Ireland but he came over here to compete because he felt it was best for his career at that time. Which is perfectly fine
In 2010 he gave up his PGA card to return to the European tour full time citing the reasons as having closer friends there and wanting to be closer to his family. Once again perfectly fine.
But when the golfers who have went with the LIV tour because they think it's best for them and their careers at this time Rory wants to be a little bitch about it.
He's a fricking hypocrite and should just shut up about it

Typically, when the USGA loses the course it's because they insist on rolling the greens so hard that even great drives right at the flags can't be rewarded. When the ball bounces off the greens like a superball we know the US Open has officially begun.
