I kinda like the rowdy NY crowd as well. 17th is a zoo.
It is a nice contrast to Augusta and gives the players a different kind of challenge.

Crowds will be more behaved at Pebble Beach.

It’s funny watching this board when it comes to golf and Tiger. Replace Brooke’s name with Tiger and the narrative is...Tiger is kicking their azz. Most Tiger fans are Tiger fans and will not watch golf If he’s not viable.

This to the nth degree. Take practically any criticism of BK,(boring, too dominant, aloof) and it is EXACTLY what was said about Eldrick WAY back when he was dominant.... Except these Fanboys used them as compliments.

BK's pressers are just as entertaining as Eldrick's were. E never said anything in them (A game, glutes firing, etc is what was remembered... And joked about).

What?

The on course mannerisms and showmanship are complete opposites with tiger and Bruce

I expect Rickie to have a nice day today, rack up another Top 10 in a major, maybe even Top 5. He’s talented enough to be around the lead in these things, just makes too many mistakes to be on top.

I wouldn't disagree with that. Thankfully, I didn't list them...

At least as BK is dominating he doesn't ignore the crowd as he moves around them. Gives balls away to kids, high fives, makes eye contact. When Eldrick was hot, he gave nothing. Oh, but Tiger has "Awesome focus","locked in","game face"...

Dude I don’t know what to tell you

Koepka shows no emotion and goes through the course like a robot. He is awesome, but a field full of 150 Koepkas would not sell the game of golf to the average fan. Not sure what that has to do with tiger

Tiger, jack, Arnie, and even to a lesser extent Phil, Rory, and spieth are all guys that move the needle for the average fan. And it isn’t because of their talent only. It’s yheir personality on the course

With Tiger missing the cut:
quote:

ticket price for the third round dropped 41 percent in connection with Woods missing the cut. The price went from $129 to $76. The Sunday “get-in” price fell from $105 to $89, or 15 percent,

No surprise. Trashy NY fans love Tiger and can’t appreciate the precision and dominance of Bruce.

Seriously, on Friday, that crowd was all Phil in the morning and Tiger in the afternoon. It wasn’t close for any other player.

I have no idea why y’all are melting

Brooks is awesome. I am sorry average fans don’t like to watch him as much as tiger. Apparently, that ruins yalls viewing experience

I appreciate that Bruce is playing his arse off and dominating.

He’s just boring to watch. Zero entertainment

I’m more looking forward to seeing his hot arse wife at the end of today

Silly statement. 150 of the same thing would be boring, period. BK is being criticized because he's NOT someone else. He not TW so he's boring even though he's better than TW.

He's dominating the best golfers in the world just as Woods did in 2000 US Open and at the the Open Ch. at St Andrews (?). His personality is not your golfing hero's though, so it's boring. If you're a golf fan, it's NOT boring because you're seeing awesome golf played by awesome golfers.

You’re in the minority. Not many golf fans agree with you.

Just look at the ratings.

you are wrong

People didn’t hate Rory’s dominance or spieths when they went on a run

If Koepka had personality and emotion on the course people would be enjoying this more. I’m sorry that makes you mad and you bring it back to Tiger for some odd reason

This morning on his radio show John Kincaid called Koepka the Mike Trout of the PGA Tour.

Don’t confuse general sports fans that like Tiger with golf fans. Those people are the ones that drive ratings when he’s in contention. Regular golf fans are already tuning in.

That's on them, not him. Again, you're saying it sucks because he's not what you want. If you're a golf fan you should want great golf... Like we are seeing.

Neither of them dominated with this frequency/intensity. 4 of 7? Also the precocious nature of those 2 who were both 25 or under (?) makes a difference.

Don't get me wrong, Koepka's personality is not Gary McCord's but his golf is stunning.

The only reason Eldrick was brought into this is because that's what a majority of you Fanboys have been commenting on in this thread.
The TV is better watching when Woods is not in the action, because true golf fans want to see a variety of golfers. Instead we get to see Woods tap in a 2ft bogey three times or act like a drama queen with another 'injury' instead of seeing Patrick Cantlay smoke a 3 wood.

Ok? Neutral fans of any sports aren’t going to car to watch boring personalities. This isn’t anything new
