CFB has been gone too long that I'm excited for Prairie View vs. Tarelton State.

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton State Football's highly anticipated season opener will have another theme attached to the game to make it even more meaningful. The Texans' home game on Aug. 29 will serve as the launch of the Texas A&M System's Chancellor's Cup.
The A&M System is beginning a new tradition that will celebrate competition, school pride and excellence across its universities, dubbed the Chancellor's Cup. The first Chancellor's Cup will be on the line Aug. 29, when Tarleton State hosts Prairie View A&M at Memorial Stadium in Stephenville. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m., and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN 2.

Member when PV had the longest active losing streak in D-I? I member.
I also member their band getting suspended for a brawl with Southern shortly after they finally won a game.

Yeah, they were god awful for most of my life. They were so bad they were losing to NAIA teams. The last 15-20 years have been a massive turn around for their program.

Was this a rivalry and I didn’t know about it?
I know the SWAC loves being who they are but to be taken seriously nationwide they have to compete with “white” universities… not like Grambling vs Ohio State, but every now and then they have to beat Southland type of teams.
