I didn’t see it (or bet it), but that’s a scary score line.

Didn't see it either. Supposedly DM was up 3-0 before the sodomy took place. He called a MTO at some point and claimed to have a shoulder injury. Wish he would have retired in the 2nd set. Thiem hit way more slices than usual from what I've read. He's evolving I guess. Breaking news... he is the shite on clay.

One thing I completely forgot about was Daniil playing 5 days straight and going 2.5 hours yesterday with Kei. And that's following a semifinal run in Monte Carlo. I don't really think it was a factor in the outcome, but it could be the difference between a bagel and like 6-2 or 6-3 in the 2nd.

Doing great to put solid points on the board, but looks like the French has already put their acceptance list together (last year it was 4/16/18), and he's going to have to go through qualifying. Talk about just on the outside. Maybe a spot will open up for him since he is currently ranked higher than many who will get direct acceptance into the main draw. Maybe he has done enough to get a direct acceptance into Wimbledon, which appears to use the rankings of mid May to make its draw.

eta: The only other American sitting just outside the top 100 right now is really Harrision. No clue what is going on there, but he hasn't played since Houston and has no scheduled tournaments listing coming up.

Baena is already in the main draw after Anderson’s withdrawal. Looks like Harrison and Sandgren need a lot more help. I don’t know Isner’s status, but if I were a betting man I would say he pulls out and opens up a spot.

Cool deal. Where did you find that list? I could only find stuff from last year. Thanks.

MV... the Prime platform on 5D has Thiem to win the French at 10/1. The true market price for that is about 5/1.

And the real kicker... outright bets at almost all sportsbooks are graded as losses if the player withdraws before the tournament. But 5D Prime has this rule:

"Outright (Future Bets): Defined as betting on the winner of an event, race or tournament. If a
competitor/player does not start an event, race or tournament, then all Outright bets on that
competitor/player will be voided."

I don't know how their limits work, but they only let me put down $80.

Based on the original timetable, he's definitely out.

Last year I tossed down two dolls on Rafa to win RG at, I think, even money....and I wasn't even sweating it, and indeed regretted not going bigger.

I don't feel the same way this year. I mean, duh, because he hasn't won a dirt tournament yet and at this point he has usually won 2. He can still put it all together and be in form for RG, but I don't see the invincibility veil at present.

Tennys is -1000 against homeboy he plays today. Dude must be a scrub. I mean, not taking anything away from TS, but those are steeeep odds for a challenger event.

ETA: i overlooked the tiny detail that it was a live line, and tennys already won the first set 6-2. I'm not very smart.
