That wasn't really my opinion. I was going off the odds at most other sportsbooks. LINK
I figure at worst he'll make the semis and you can hedge in some fashion.
ETA: Or let it ride since he has a legit chance to win

You don't think that if they played 10 french open's in 10 parallel universes, that he would win more than one of those ten?

That's certainly an independently dispositive consideration as well.

Without question. I would break it down like this:
Rafa 5
Thiem 3
Novak 2

On the free money scale, how free are we talking here?

One other little way to make the French...
https://www.usta.com/en/home/pro/pro-tennis-events/roland-garros-wild-card-challenge.html
The spot is pretty much garaunteed to Tommy Paul, who has beaten Sandgren in the last 2 Challenger events. But just for the fun of it, the numbers work out that if Sandgren wins the tournament and Paul doesn't make the semi-finals, then Sandgren gets the spot.

I’m already not a fan of the advantages given to players who happen to be from 1 of the 4 countries that host slams, so you can guess how I feel about Americans getting wild cards to a different slam that’s not even in the U.S.
I know that might come across as senseless bitching, but I think it’s a fair take. Imagine if you are from Croatia and you’ve been grinding the whole clay season but you miss the cut for RG by a few spots. Then you find out some guy ranked in the 140’s got a wild card ($51K prize money, at least) just for being American.

Came across this odd bunch of veterans ranked between 100 and 110 so I figured I would share.
I’m sure one could make a correlation between bitches and ranking drops for guys like Sock, Berdych, and Deliciano Lopez if one were so inclined. One might be better off including photos to prove said point as well.

Seems like ole Gimelstob is a bit of a hot head.
Gimelstob's victim's Impact statement:

Gimelstob's victim's Impact statement:
quote:
q. During that time, I was punched at least 50 times – but when you count it out – 1 . . . 2 . . . 3 . . . the actual number was likely over 100.
r. As the attack continued, I wondered if my skull was going to crack open – or if he would punch the back of my neck – and wondered if I was going to be paralyzed – or if I would die – and if I died would my two-year daughter and wife who were only a few feet away witness me being beat to death.
s. As his fist continued pounding into my head, I became dizzy, and thought I may pass out, and I thought of the San Francisco Giants fan who was beaten after a Dodgers game and was paralyzed for the rest of his life. I thought about a friend from the summer before who was sucker-punched, blacked out, hit his head on a sidewalk without breaking his fall – and DIED.
t. I worried about my three teenage kids, and whether I was going to see them again, and whether I was going to see my family back in Detroit – my mom had just turned 75 – and my grandmother was going to turn 100 in two days.
u. Finally, as I was about to pass out, I heard some commotion and yelling and people screaming at my attacker, and then felt a small struggle. I realized that people had finally stepped in to pull my attacker off of me, who was still saying “I’m going to fricking kill you” while he pointed at me with eyes of a crazed lunatic.

Here's some numbers, Tommy Paul has 13 wins this year including the Sarasota Challenger Tournament Champion, rank 143, and through 4 months of the year his earnings are $40,040! That's tough.

Damn. I’m not up to speed on the case. Has anyone mentioned what set him off?
Posted on 5/2/19 at 9:53 pm to bayoucracka
It is kind of explained in there that Gimelstob thought that this guy was taking his (soon to be ex) wife's side in the divorce.

Looks like he stepped down from the ATP Board of Directors today. The social media pitchfork army notches another victory.
Not that they’re necessarily wrong in this case.

Apparently it is a really nasty divorce.

I'd love to see the video

Okay, but that victim impact statement is way over the top. His kid's graades suffered? Come on, dude.

I'm sure he's gonna sue Gimelston for a massive amount
