Zverev is still playing way too passively. It was fine on the match points when Garin was probably nervous, but it's doing him no good in the grand scheme.

Tsetse/Goffin looked like a nice battle from the glimpses I saw. If that Davidovich Fokina dude isn't completely gassed, he will probably beat Gasquet and Fed. He was up a break on Cuevas in the third today, then hit the cramp wall.

How do y’all think Osaka will fare this tournament? And anyone have thoughts on Ferrer/Bautista?

I don’t follow the women much. Some other guys in here might be able to help.

Assuming he wins, Bautista is actually scheduled to play a semifinal and a final tomorrow in Munich. I don’t know if they can push his Madrid match all the way back to Tuesday. Honestly I would take Ferrer if he’s an underdog regardless.

Nice call. Shapo slapping it all over from what I've seen.

In doubles vs. Fognini on clay in Delpo's first match back?

Not sure. There was talk of an injury before Monte Carlo... then he won the whole thing.

ETA: Considering he’s an underdog to Edmund... something isn’t right.

Yeah I researched and it said he pulled out of Barcelona Open with a leg injury.
So this makes that interesting.

Foe beats Basilashvili and Opelka beats Busta. Nice work from the Americans. I'm guessing conditions are quick.

I should’ve thrown some on Del Petro/Nish, I knew it. Also lets see if Cilic will be back in form today and poor Opelka has got Thiem now.

@The Tennis Talker- Kygios and Tomic got a wildcard for Madrid doubles.... Takes a place away from a solid doubles team who actually want to play doubles and win on the other hand a great media story

@NickKyrgios- Unfortunately sport is entertainment.

I guess he knows his role at this point.
