ULM Pharmacy School was equal to your Lady Techsters until you decided not to hire Kim Mulchy (sp).

That is a whole other thread.

Interesting dribble but when confronted with facts you have nothing to offer up but name calling and BS.
#2 Yes Tech has been to those two bowls..How many bowls has ULM been to since 1994?
How many winning seasons has ULM had since 1994??
Please answer these questions...

quote:Ahh, the either/or argument again. A permanent rivalry with ULM would do more for Tech than a home/home with Southern Mississippi. I guess the problem is that it would also do more for ULM. I don't know; I'm no mind reader. But I do know fear in a fan base's collective eyes when I see it.
fricking Dooley. What the hell is he doing? Bringing in another shitty arse SEC team to play in Ruston when he could schedule ULM? When will he learn? I'm not sure why they just don't fire the idiot.

I'll have you know that I pressed the "admin" button MANY times after this classless remark.

(None of it changes what Tech fears.)

That big boom and sucking sound was the collapse of the lady Techsters. Thank goodness Tech is doing as great as the fleabags would have us believe. Looked to me like the best part of their athletic program and perhaps their school pulled a disappearing act.

But you still have to live in Monroe so how can that fact give you any satisfaction whatsoever?
Posted on 8/27/09 at 7:56 pm to genuineLSUtiger
still not going to answer the question on what SEC teams ULM has had at home?
Posted on 8/27/09 at 7:59 pm to JDDawg
Several times I've seen Techsters claim their school is a top engineering school nationally, and the best in Louisiana. Of course like claims of their athletic program's financial success, this is more conjecture.
Here are the 2009 USN&WR rankings:
U.S News Ranking of Louisiana Engineering Schools
Does Tech perhaps have some super secret ranking?

I'll answer for him and say zero. Not quite sure why he said that. Certainly doesn't help ULM's cause in this argument.

uh oh those facts cant be right. Techs best dept is not best. Confirms what I thought.

Didn't ULM have something lined with Ole Miss at one time and they (Ole Miss) backed out? I'm betting this matter getting the techsters lathered is a two for one with Ole Miss, who doesn't have the clout to give a "come to my place or not at all" ultimatum like the upper tier SEC schools. Perhaps the SEC's team MO is to "agree", play the game at their house, then wiggle out of coming to tech.
FWIW, Miss. State and whoever this is (Including LSU, if by some wild chance) should be reprimanded by the league for soiling the corporate image.

Be sure and bookmark that page for future reference, for at some point in the future, you will encounter a post by a techie claiming they are not only the best engineering school in Louisiana, but in the top 20 in the country!

Come on. It wouldn't be permanent. LSU and Tulane. That seemed like a good idea didn't it. Now LSU wants out from under that contract. Spare me the garbage about ULM and Tech football programs are exactly alike because its not true. Take off the "Tech is shite" glasses and you can see that Tech's football program is headed in the right direction and ULM's isn't.
