ULM is 16-11 against 1AA teams since 1994 (the move to 1A). I think they fit nicely in a reformed Gulf States Conference.

Tech, however, is 15-2 against 1AA teams since 1989 (the move to 1A). They would be playing down in a GSC.

Tech is 32-6 against ULM-caliber teams since 1989 (Sun Belt and below).

ULM has 45 total wins at the 1A level. Only 29 of those wins were against 1A teams and only 5 were outside of the Sun Belt Conference.

So what's Tech afraid of?

The embarrassment associated with losing to a team of ULM's caliber of course. It has happened 6 times in the past 200 games. Too risky!

which is that the Techsters are too blind to see that in terms of quality their program is MUCH MUCH closer to that of ULM than it will EVER be to LSU.

This is also true and should illustrate just how insignificant Tech always will be.

Know your place. Home/home with ULM!

I'm posting on tigerdroppings.com. How could it be more obvious that I'm at work right now?

Well, who couldn't beat McNeese? (I'm definitely looking forward to 9/26/09).
Tulane is undefeated against LA Tec[h] (8-0) and ULM (2-0).
Tulane is 20-4 v. ULL and 20-62-7 v. LSU. Of course, only Tulane has beaten LSU.

LA Tech's Coach Dooley has improved the program. 5-7 in '07 and 8-5 in '08 w/ a bowl win over NLU.
That said, it appears that '10 recruiting isn't meeting expectations (only 6 recruits w/ 2 two-star commits) - what do LA Tech fans think?

I can't believe this still going. Someone get Dooley to sign up on TD, get a real answer.

This pretty much sums it up. The folks in Ruston cannot comprehend this FACT.

Tech fans want to know why Tulane won't play Tech. Maybe they are as scared as we are of playing NLULM
