I got nothing against Tech, and honestly I pull for them whenever I have the opportunity too.
But what get's me the most is how full of themselves they are, like they have ever done anything in the sports world noteable.
Tech fans will argue til they are blue in the face that they are nearly on the same level as LSU and far better than the other Louisiana schools when everyone but them can see they are not.
I check out latechbbb.com from time to time and their ego's absolutely blow my mind.
Yes, I think they are on their way up, yes Dooley could be there savior, but NO...you haven't done shite and NO you can't say a word until you have.

I think the Techies think that if they had the funding that LSU has they would be on the same level. Attendence in Ruston will never be good because:
A) Hunting season trumps football in N. LA
for most, not counting the Tech diehards
B) Although it has improved in recent years,
the gameday atmosphere is not real inviting
on the flip side
Tech has a pretty good home schedule this year with Hawaii and Boise St. at home. As a football fan in general, I will try to make a couple of games this year in Ruston and I will pull for Tech fwiw.

10 pages = natural rivalry. Maybe most interesting rivalry in State. The legislature should require these two to play and to decide the terms and conditions for same sense the administrators of these Univ. cant see that it would save taxpayers $.

USM fan... you're going to get yours next year and then you will appreciate the egos.

Also, Humphries signed with LSU out of HS and Finley signed with Tech out of HS. (but they can read)

If La Tech is getting home and homes with Mississippi State, why would they want a home and home with ULM??
Because the trip is cheap, and if at least one of them has a winning record, the stadium will be packed. Aillet won't be packed for Mississippi State.
And it's a great (albeit regional and not national) rivalry!
Fact: Tech is afraid.

That's the question that begs an answer. Why does ULM want to play Tech so bad?

I'm not an USM fan, I'm a diehard LSU fan, I just like the icon.
Different than the 95% of posters on here.
But what would people from North Louisiana know about diversity or having their own culture?

I was confused by "Southern Miss Fan" below the icon.

i couldn't name you more than one player on any USM athletic team and the only one that I do know was once an LSU player.....

The same reason the Sharks wanted to kill the Jets. The same reason Bill the Butcher wanted to kill a bunch of Micks. The same reason a normal-sized Canaanite felt ok taking on a Philistine twice his size.
That's the question that begs an answer. Why does ULM want to play Tech so bad?
Do I need to explain this further?

Don't judge us by our retards.

So what is Tech afraid of?
getting beat by a school they feel is inferior.
It is the same as when LSU wouldn't play Tech, ULM & ULL.
What Tech doesn't realize is the gap between LSU and them is 10 times bigger than any gap between Tech and ULM. They were "lucky" enough not to have directional info in their name so they got into the WAC after all the big schools left for the Mountain West.
They really have no rivals and neither does ULM, North Texas or any of the other old Southland Conference schools.
They should all know their place and go back to being big fish in a smaller pond. At least they always had winning records and people attended the games.
