Surefire way to get voting privileges revoked.

until you know more about washington can you truly call it a shitty win? I dropped LSU for the win, but not out of my top 10 yet because I still believe they're a top 10 team until more evidence is given to me that they are not. same goes for OSU

No, but you can't call it a good win either. And if you don't want to use history as an indication that Washington sucks, what indication do you have that LSU is top 10?

Neither team played like a top 10 team, so they aren't in my top ten. If they start playing like a top ten team, then they will be ranked in the top ten again. It's that simple.

LSU isn't even close to being in my top ten right now.

Ole Miss looked like dog shite against memphis, what makes you think they're a top 10 team?

Boise didn't look good at all against a team in complete disarray

so neither by your standards were "good" wins

yet you consider both top 10?

I'm not completely sold on Ole Miss either, but theres a difference between looking like shite/putting a team away and looking like shite/keeping a team in it.

I think polls this early are bullshite, but we vote on it, so I do it. At this point I try to use a little bit of both (how good we expect a team to be and what they have proven).

Ole Miss is supposed to be good and while they struggled early, they dismantled memphis. That is enough to not drop them. Boise (an expected top 15 team) had one of the best wins on paper, beating another top 15 team by double digits. If Oregon continues to lose, Boise St will be rewarded less and less each week for that win.

If we went on resume alone at this point, half the teams would be ranked 1st and the other half last.

The bigger thing for me when comparing Ole Miss/LSU is that I would say Snead played bad, and I would say thats below average (unless he has actually regressed, but I can't see that).

With LSU its more a "same shite, different day" type thing...the defense is still making a spectacular play and following it up by 2 minutes of shite, then the cycle continues. At least with Ole Miss you can say they progressed as the game went on - with LSU not so much.

Of course everything can change after week 2.

Like I've been saying repeatedly on the Rant....

look at the numbers by the half. LSU improved on the defensive side of the ball. Regardless of who wants to believe that.

Exactly. Both teams could win next week, and I could have LSU in the top ten and Ole Miss out of it. It depends on how they play.

They did. And to be fair, after UW's first drive, LSU didn't give up a TD until the game was over and there was 0 seconds left.

But, that nickel and dime shite will eat LSU alive. UW seemed to be able to convert 3rd and longs all day...even in the second half.

Now this I can agree with.

Just a quick note on the quality of Washington. They have a new staff and will have Locker healthy. Last year, with Locker, they had BYU tied until a celebration penalty cost them the game. So there was something there last year.

But look at Ole Miss last year. Early in the season, Florida lost to Ole Miss, a team that was coming off an 0-8 SEC season. Florida must suck, right? Well, it turned out that Ole Miss was much improved. I’m not saying that UW is definitely improved, but they do share a lot in common with last year’s Ole Miss team.

I hate that he got hurt last year. I don't hate that you drafted him for me last year.

Well, yeah. I do hate that you drafted him for me last year. With my first pick. fricknut.

I don't feel bound by last week's ballot at all, so I am voting based on resume, prediction, and just general feeling I got from teams in their first game

that's how i tried to do it

next week will likely have major shakeup, just like the week after

things won't be really settled for another 4-6 weeks
