Yeah but that’s only if you look at actual numbers and facts.

-2011 NBA Finals
-Kyle Korver 2017 Finals
-George Hill 2018 Finals
-LeBrick free throws

Bird played 13 years. Take any of Dirk’s 13 year span and get back to me. That’s right....I said ANY 13 year span.

“Let’s pretend Dirk didn’t play longer.”

It’s a fun fantasy, but it’s just a fantasy. Hence, overrated.

Bird avg 10+rpg career. Dirk’s best rpg season was 9.7

Bird avg 6+asp career. Dirk’s season best 3.5.

Bird avg 1.7 spg. Dirk’s season best 1.5.

So if the best looking girl whom youve been with is a 6, and the average looking girl for my lifetime is a 9, how can you say you’ve had better sex?

Player A

20.9 pts--7.6 rebs--2.4 asst--51.3 eFG%--.194 WS/48--22.5 PER

Player B

27.1 pts--7.4 rebs--7.2 asst--54.1 eFG%--.236 WS/48--27.6 PER

Player C

24.3 pts--10.0 rebs--6.3 asst--51.4 eFG%--.203 WS/48--23.5 PER

Clearly Player B is the best, followed then by C and A

But Player A and C have far more in common than either have with Player B

One of the most overrated players in NBA history, but only if you look at his stats and compare them to everyone else’s.

I like how he beat those mofo's the last two years without even bothering to take off his warm-up jacket.

He should have taken his jacket off because he sucked in those years, the other people just sucked worse

Larry hit 16/30 and 17/30 those years, the 2nd and 3rd lowest scores in finals history for a winner

Ouch

BUT HE HAD A JACKET ON AND ONE TIME HE PUT HIS FINGER UP!

Add that to his .7 made 3's per game in his career and I just can't see how any sane person has Lebron over Bird.

Sometimes I think you make rational arguments and then you say literal extra-chromosome level retarded shite like this.

Nobody shot 3s during that era. Bird led the league in 3s made and attempted per game in 86-87 at 1.2 and 3. It was a different era and even trying to make a point by comparing his 3's vs today's shooter is beyond braindead.

Bill Russel and Wilt Chamberlain made 0 3's their entire careers. Those dudes sure are fricking garbage. - an argument ReaxulTide222 would make

Are you telling me that neither Bird or his coaches were smart enough to thinks, "hey, I'm raining 3's from the heavens right now with a jacket on and calling my shots. I'm the best shooter ever. Why don't I, ya know, shoot some more of these things in the real games?"

Wow.

Obviously you've never watched Larry Bird: A Basketball Legend, recommend it, it's on youtube nor have watched some of his most legendary games like Game 5 of the 1984 NBA Finals, Game 6 1986 Finals, Game 7 1988 Eastern Semis, Game 5 1991 Eastern First Round, etc then you will truly understand and appreciate the utter greatness that is Larry Joe Bird

The 1979–80 season had an average 0.8 three-point goals per game and 2.8 attempts (29% effectiveness).

The 1989–90 season had an average 2.2 three-point goals per game and 6.6 attempts (33% effectiveness).

The 1999–2000 season had an average 4.8 three-point goals per game and 13.7 attempts (35% effectiveness). The 2009-10 season had an average 6.4 three-point goals per game and 18.1 attempts (36% effectiveness).

The 2016–17 season had an average 9.7 three-point goals per game and 27.0 attempts (36% effectiveness)

It's easier to make 3's now.

Negative old man.

More player practice them. Moreso in the last ten years, coaches have finally learned 3 is better than 2. They also learned deep 2s count the same as a layup.
