K-State football sucked until Snyder came along. K-State athletics did not. K-State went to four Final Fours between 1952 and 1964. Tex Winter, Cotton Fitzsimmons, Jack Hartman, and Lon Kruger all coached at K-State between then and Huggins. Pre-Snyder K-State was a basketball school.
