Wichita goes to the PAC
nah don’t see that happening
That conference has Gonzaga in basketball, that should attract other good basketball schools

I’m glad Tech is in, but I find it hilarious that some homers in here think that the Sun Belt is an elite conference or some shat. No g5 is elite.
The Sun Belt has proven to put out teams that can upset Big 10/SEC schools, and has been an entertaining weeknight conference over the last decade.
It is pretty impressive what the Belt has become after being a complete laughing stock

The Sun Belt should petition the NCAA to get that game on Week 0 at night in Monroe. Stadium would be standing room only, atmosphere would be incredible and you get the game in before one of our teams shuts down their leg in the first few weeks

Wichita State isn’t what they used to be since letting go of Marshall.

My boss has one of the boxes at ULM on the student side.
Who are the big donors for ULM anyways.
JPS doesn't count ??
Also the big donors for Tech are well....
You're better off involving the
The Aillet Society than the big top 1% donors.

We should do some sort of “battle for Louisiana” or something trophy between the 3 Louisiana schools every year. Whoever has the best record obviously gets it and if all 3 are 1-1 tie break goes to combined score in the 3 matchup.

The real "Battle for the Boot"

Good to see Louisiana Tech is not bending the knee to ULL's cry to be called Louisiana. This is at the bottom of their press release:
Louisiana Tech Conference History:
- Louisiana Tech has been league members with six of the current Sun Belt Conference institutions – ULM (1982-87 Southland Conference), Arkansas State (1991-01 Sun Belt Conference), UL-Lafayette (1991-01 Sun Belt Conference), Marshall (2013-22 Conference USA), Old Dominion (2013-22 Conference USA), and Southern Miss (2013-22 Conference USA)
- Six Sun Belt Conference members are within a seven-hour driving distance of Louisiana Tech's campus – ULM, UL-Lafayette, Southern Miss, Arkansas State, South Alabama, and Troy

Make all 3 games the final 3 weeks on the schedule as well.
(Doesn’t have to look exactly like this but as an idea)
Week 12: Tech v ULL
Week 13: ULL v ULM
Week 14: Tech v ULM
Honestly I’d want it this way just so we could do one big “shite talk” thread for the series

Enjoy your last season of calling yourselves university if Louisiana.
All will be right when there are flags in Ruston that say Louisiana Lafayette.

The only trophy I'll need is the blood on my fists from all the Techsters that are about to get knuckle checked the day of the first game

I bet his hands smell like nickels.

You have to learn to use them to survive the area around campus

Dodging a knuckle check just like Tech dodged ULM in the independence bowl I see
