Because these guys have a platform when they are on television. They kneel during the anthem and not on their own time bc that is when people are watching.
Admittedly I have always gotten a kick out of those who say “kneel on your own time”
Bubba, when lebron or whoever is on their “own time” there aren’t millions of people watching it would kinda defeat the purpose of protesting wouldn’t it.

I don't believe his apology is sincere. This is basically like apologizing for previously backing Hitler. He's already let us know where he and the rest of the NBA stands on this issue. He didn't change his mind, he's just trying to save face. I'm not sure who he's saving face for though, since NBA fans and the media nearly unanimously supported his position and shite all over Morey. Kerr has expressed enough of his opinions over the years that I fully believe he still supports the CCP.
The fact that a man whose own father was murdered by radical militants showed support for the oppressive communist CCP regime at all is extremely alarming.

Kerr learned from a dumb statement he made. Did a little bit more research. I’d love for him to be stronger against China, but it’s at least progress.
Doesn't look to me like he changed anything at all. He hasn't come out against China in any way.

That has nothing to do with what I said. If we can’t worry about genocide in another country, only stuff happening here, we damn sure don’t have time to worry about sports. Let’s round up all the professional athletes and have them do something that actually helps. They could visit midnight basketball camps every night city to city.

NBA players and coaches talk down to everyday people like they're smarter and better than the rest of us. That's why people like me hate that league and haven't watched it in two years.
I won't watch until they replace Silver with more of a hardline commissioner who doesn't allow blatant tampering, let an active player run a sports agency, or let the league turn into a far left political movement. The NBA needs David Stern right now.
