The NBA can do things to force his hand.

That's your own bias with that view. He would almost certainly sue but you're just guessing on the outcome bc you favor Sterling.

Is it wrong that I just bust a gut laughing because a CNN talking head just called Sterling "a black mark.....uh, so to speak....on the NBA"?

They might be able to force him to sell.
Deadspin's secret rule article
Deadspin had a good write-up of a rule that may force him out.

5 million dollar fine and suspended indefinitely.

It would be kind of crazy to make him sell the team based on an opinion he has.
It would be like an owner telling their daughter:
"I don't want you dating any fat people".
And then now the league wants to force him to sell his team because he doesn't want his daughter dating fat people.
The whole thing seems kind of silly when you think of it in that context.

What I'm expecting today, Part 1: Silver announces lifetime suspension for DS and that he's starting franchise termination process ASAP.

What I'm expecting today, Part 2: NBA Players Assoc. demands July free agency for all Clipper players unless NBA sells Clippers ASAP.

To clarify an earlier tweet: Silver could potentially "terminate" Sterling's ownership, then have NBA take over franchise + sell it for him.

SVP's hitting Sterling pretty hard right now.

I read indefinite suspension and $5 million fine , but I don't trust the source. Can anyone confirm?
That's what CNBC is saying

People just decided that disliking somebody for skin color is worse than disliking somebody for their weight.
He didn't actually discriminate against anybody. He holds an opinion.

The indefinite suspension is actually gonna hurt Sterling mentally. He is always courtside

Remember that Sterling knew he was being recorded during this whole situation. I don't think you can take the team away from the man. But, some kind of action should be taken.
