Because everyone that was mad and jealous due to the positive coverage New Orleans was receiving and the fact the falcons choked gets a chance to bitch.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one seeing this. Shite happens all the time in sports.

Power surges happen when too much power is being used.. Like when every media outlet in the free world congregates to one building with laptops and cameras this was bound to cause a surge.

It seems people were waiting to thump on New Orleans.

Didn't this happen in San Fran last season on MNF?

Due people blame the city?

yeah and this is common at the other huge sporting events so no big deal

ETA: but it's not NOLA's fault, just the superdome or whatever.

Exactly. Fanboys are acting like this was an act of God. Only explanation I have heard is it was a power surge. Even if the power surge isn't right, the power company had one job, the surge protector had one job, and the backup plan crew had one job.

The outage rests on someone in the city, not the NFL.

Edit: oh, I see it was all the people in the city that caused it. I guess no one could have planned for a bunch of people coming to New Orleans this Sunday.

Happened in San Fran last season on MNF

It happens in the NBA, MLB and the NHL from time to time.

Imagine if this were in the cowboys stadium for example, they'd be singing a different tune

i dont think anyone should be banned from anything. should it affect future hosting abilities? maybe, yeah.

"well, we could go to NOLA in the superdome where we got fricked for 30 minutes, or we could go somewhere else."

that's perfectly reasonable as would be saying "nope we investigated that shite and it was the fault of blah blah blah and they are off the contract or whatever so let's do it there!"

if this happened at cowboy stadium, the pussies who hate the cowboys would be commenting, instead of the pussies who hate the saints...no difference.

Nah dude, the power goes out during the Superbowl all the time. I don't think the board would even notice.

I love the saints. That doesn't mean this isn't a huge embarrassment.
