It's not the same thing. People are trying to force Rogers into this. If Cam just did his Superman thing, it wouldn't rub nearly as many people the wrong way. Instead, he does some elaborate dance then finishes with his signature. If Rogers invented a new dance every time he scored then did the DDC, people would probably get annoyed with it.

I don't get bent out of shape about Newton but the simple fact is... He takes it to far.. Growing up in my household meant learning the importance of humility and humbleness.. Being excited and expressing that excitement is ok but some of these guys are trying to put on a show with the amount of time they spend celebrating..and this isn't just Newton

Well, FWIW, the first time I ever really started getting annoyed at celebrations on the football field was w Mark Gastineau and his stupid sack dance in the 1980s
I always wanted some OT to launch into a big, elaborate dance on every friggin play that the dude did nor sack the QB.
And if you are a young'un -- he's a white dude.
And I loved Billy 'whiteshoes' Johnson's thing.

The "superman" celebration is tired and old. It was pretty cool..well never really. Personally I'd like to see it retired along with the mid air body bumps. Bring back the classic high five.

They are interjecting Cam into something that I don't think Cam would want to be interjected into in the media.
