ALL owners of major sports teams should have this approach.

His actions in this regard should be a model for EVERYONE else to follow.

I'm sure Dave Winfield agrees w/ this statement.

But he seriously is a true legend in the sport and will always be remembered for his passion for the game and for winning, as well as resurrecting the sport's most storied franchise. The sport needed a villain and he obliged in spectacular fashion.

To the family? For what? They need help to pay for the funeral? Aare you praying the family doesn't take the loss hard? Not to be heartless or anything but just never understood that. Are they not supposed to feel bad after death? Prayers to make them feel better?

Well, lets not get carried away. I don't know if his methods were necessarily something we want all owners following.

His passion and commitment to winning were definitely admirable traits.

Paying the mafia to dig up dirt on one of your own players--not really a trend we want all owners following.

What are the odds that Billy Martin was talking to St. Peter at the pearly gates saying ole George should go straight back to hell?

Hey Prom...you troll these boards all day thinking your opinion is the shite...I got news for ya, your wrong. Someone offering prayers to a family that just lost a loved one is gracious and respectful. Keep your negative crap about religion to yourself. Once again..nobody gives a shite about your rants...move on.

Completely forgot he was a Buckeye

We have something on campus named after him, but I forget what. I imagine they'll do a nice tribute.
