Hoo boy, did we get our asses kicked or what?
I mean, I'm not even sure I can quite grasp what a beatdown it was. Caps are lucky it isn't soccer, and scores are cumulative, because it feels like this should count as two losses. Caps were outshot 45-17, which is misleading because the Caps got 5 shots on goal in the game's last 30 seconds. So it's really closer to 45-12... almost a 4 to 1 ratio on shots on goal, which is almost impossible.
Worse, the Caps were outshot 18 to 1 in the 2nd period, and even that doesn't quite get at how thoroughly they were dominated. The Caps didn't get a shot in the last 8 minutes of the 1st period nor the first 12 minutes of the 3rd (despite two power plays). That means the Caps had ONE SHOT ON GOAL IN 40 MINUTES. That's 2/3 of the game.
At least Ovi knocked a guy out.

Very nice to see the Avs put together a complete game. I fell asleep after the 1st so I was confident but still nervous. They've thoroughly outplayed Calgary the last two games and hopefully can keep it up! This will be a dogfight.

Svech is going to have PTSD from that Ovi beatdown. Might never be the same.

After last night I’m about ready to trade TJ Brodie for a bag of pucks and some bottled water

he was a total liability and cant hold the point for shite
gaudreau looked like shite also
lot of blame to go around in a 6-2 drubbing.

Everyone was convinced that if the goaltending would be solid, we were a lock to make it out of the West
Now the goaltending is unbelievable and the rest of the team is a mess
Pretty raw when your goalie makes 50 saves and you still lose by 4

Hope the Jackets finish off the Bolts tonight. I don’t want to see that team with any momentum.

Tampa has looked pretty pitiful since period 1 of game 1
Columbus deserves to sweep

I can't believe that they might get swept. No way they lose tonight though.

They finally started showing something in the 3rd period of game 3.

I just want Columbus to pull it off in front of their fans

That would be awesome.... but they would still have a chance in game six...

The Flames are in trouble. It's not just that the Avs upgraded big time on the blueline, peppered them with 56 shots and made them look plodding and disorganized. It's that Tkachuk seemed so phony when he attacked Landeskog like a rabid dog. I've seen that 1000 times. It reeked of desperation. Avs could very well close this thing out at home.

Same lineup for Colunbus tonight as Game 3.
That means the player Stamkos board (M. Nutivara) is out due to concussion sustained in the hit.
One game

"First of all, I hope he's OK," Ovechkin said Monday night. "Yeah, I'm not a big fighter, and he's the same. He asked me to fight and said, 'Let's go.' I hope he's OK. You don't want to see a guy get hurt or something. And you just go a different way."
