What errors did I mention? I don’t know if I’d go as far as saying the Blues are vastly superior in 5-on-5, but they’ve clearly been the better team.
I literally addressed every piece of context you mentioned, but reading your response you don’t seem to mean context. You seem to mean that hypothetically if events occurred differently than they did in reality.
Using error loosely, I consider giving up goals while switching play style an error. Same with giving up goals when you are man up. Giving up multiple goals at the end is a mental error. Mentally weak team giving up letting goals go. Or its a sign that the team just isn’t so dominant like this board seems to think.
Could the PP have affected the empty netter? Definitely. But there’s no way to see what would have happened if there was no PP called at all in the game (your HYPOTHETICAL context). You cant really use a hypothetical to defend the blues being 5v5 dominant. A goal may have been made by the bruins even without getting a PP early on that affected the game leading to an empty netter or blues score instead blah blah... this argument would go both ways so its useless.
I can however analyze the stats excluding the PP to see what the 5v5 play was this series as it existed... and as it happened in real life the 5v5 has been roughly even!! Slight edge to the blues, I admit, but dominance is laughable.

Look, hockey starts with 5 v 5, teams can control(although it doesn't feel like it) staying out of the box. Sure penalties are another part of the game, but they can be prevented. If we do such, and we have, I like our chances. Also, we're a better road team than home team, and our best games come after losses by 2 goals or more.
Ok thanks this is really helpful because I was really confused on the amount of players on the ice when the game started and the fact that players are the ones responsible for avoiding penalties.
I’m just raging against the machine of the board that is all BLUES DOMINANT 5V5 even tho there are only like 2 minor stats that support this claim. Blues have slight 5v5 advantage but bruins have MASSIVE PP and a decent goalie advantage.
This series when the bruins are effective on the PP they win soundly. When the bruins are stumped on the PP its a very close game.
If the blues can prevent or kill the PP, they still need to show out in their 5v5 game and it will still be a close game. In this case the goalies will probably be the deciding factor. If bruins have any PP luck then were gonna see a 5 or 6 to 2 or 3 score bruins.

Allz I know is the Blues have been left for dead two dozen times this season and have always seemed to come off the mat to win, especially on the road.
The Blues 9 lives might finally be up but it wouldn't surprise me at all if they had one last life.

I'm mad at you, Blues. Now, not only can the Bruins win this thing, they can do it at home. Ugh.

Blues always take the most difficult path possible.

My mental status will be altered too for the next 3 days. And quite possibly much longer.

Edmundson, Barbashev back in the lineup. Bortuzzo/Thomas out. I'd have benched Blais, but whatever.

Before the puck drops on Game 7, the final game of the season, let us all remember the thing which bonds all of us as fellow hockey fans...
... an unabiding hatred of the Bruins.

So how many of you will stick around and take your lumps whenever the bruins win tonight?

The Stl fans have been funny. Super arrogant when winning and complete pessimism and melts after losses.
I think the road dogs get it done and you have to endure Gloria.
