Nothing better in pre series than having Augie and Clydesdales rolling around. I swear that jingle was played after every StL win back in the 80's/90's

ETA: There is one thing better. Going on the brewery tour before they capped the "limit"

Yeah, its kind of lost its luster around town for obvious reasons. Back int the 80's though when they played here comes the king the arena/stadium would get loud.

I remember hearing Fabbri's name being thrown around when the Blues were sniffing around about Drouin and I was like "Please lord no no no"

Blues open at home on Sunday night. Do you want Sharks or Predators? Looks like no NBC games this weekend.

It would be fitting to have an all Central conference final.

The division has been rediculous. It's been interesting to be an eastern conference fan relocating to a western conference city. Central division is like the SEC in football. I think the western conference teams are fricked no matter who they play in the final.

Why did the Predators go from wearing white uniforms at home to the ugly mustard?

In a league in which the salary cap has made it hard to cobble together three or four scoring threats on the same team, the Penguins seem to have a half dozen at any given time, and they’re sprinkled throughout their lineup.

That was Rutherford’s rationalization when Kessel became available last summer. Getting the deal done with the Leafs wasn’t easy, he explained, with a lot of moving parts. But, in the end, Pittsburgh gave up only two middling prospects (Kasperi Kapanen and Scott Harrington) and what will now be a very late first-round pick. They also forced the Leafs to eat 15 per cent of Kessel’s mammoth deal, leaving them with $1.2-million in dead salary all the way until 2022.

Time to see if God actually exists tonight.

If the Washington Capitals are not proof that there is no God, nothing will ever be.

Has there ever been a franchise that makes the playoffs as consistently and chokes as reliably as the Caps?

I'd say there's always next year, but the truth is that we've already seen next year and every other year this year and every previous year. This is a franchise that will never win a Stanley Cup. I guess they just don't have the big time mentality. Great in the regular season, shite in the playoffs. Every. Damned. Year.

Don't follow these NHL threads much, but I'm curious how you ended up a penguins fan over the blues.
