When you hit a guy in the head like that at full speed on open ice, and it looks that intentional, yeah you are probably going to get a suspension. It's exactly the kind of play the NHL usually enforces. You get away with all kinds of chippy, but usually not what looks like intent to injure. But who knows, it's the NHL, it's arbitrary by nature.
As for the series-Avs are playing without two of their top four defenseman, have AHL journeyman types on the blue line, are down to their third goalie and are STILL hanging tough and scoring goals. It bodes poorly for Nashville. If they don't get an 8-0 win here soon, I'm thinking they are going to fizzle out before the Finals.

I haven’t watched USA network in forever, but going to tonight. Big game in this series especially for Washington.
