I'm looking for coach Gallant to tweak the lineup for tomorrow night. Tomas Tatar will likely play, probably for Shea Theodore. The top and 4th lines for VGK have done ok, it's the other two lines (especially the 2nd) the have struggled badly. The 2nd line (Haula, Neal and Perron) gave up all 3 goals last night

I was thinking a combination of Oshie and Sochi.

Yeah Tatar should play. He's not very good, but he's capable of contributing some offense. Plus VGK gave a lot for him.

Some folks have come to their senses. Local news announced that T-Mobile will have an indoor watch party tomorrow. There's also outdoor watch parties throughout the valley...but as we'll be pushing 110 tomorrow, I'm gonna pass on that.

I’ve been disappointed in the Golden Knights the last 2 games. Fluery has been badly outplayed by Holtby the whole series.

Holtby has definitely outplayed Fleury so far. Not that Fleury's been horrible but Holtby has been better and usually has had the better defense in front of him.
I think that Washington has taken a page from the LA Kings' playbook and they've frustrated VGK's offense with forechecking and funneling them towards the boards. San Jose and Winnipeg both tried this to some degree but the Capitals and the Kings are just much better at it. (Everyone remembers that VGK swept the Kings but most forget that they only scored 7 goals in the entire series.)

Oddly enough, this Caps team reminds me of those Kings teams from that 2011-2014 stretch. Never say die attitude, completely relentless, would hit the shite out of you, and got then score the most back breaking goals. I remember thinking it was a pipe dream to ever see the Caps play that way. This team mirrors that 2013-2014 team a lot.

VGKs disappointingness comes from a lack of defense and lack of pressure everywhere not from Fleury. Holtby has been playing phenomenally I can't fault him for any pucks he let by, Fleury has been playing solid too but other than that one he kicked in I don't think theres much else he could be doing.

Yeah, the Kings are a blueprint on how to beat the Knights: have a good goalie, check the hell out of them, and then have some people who can score (which the Kings, sadly, lacked). The Kings got swept, but they lost each game by one. They arguably outplayed the Kings in some of those games, but lacked a finisher... the Caps have Ovechkin.
Another thing that I think helps the Caps is what usually hurts them: they overpass. Fleury is big on positioning and he overcommits to the shooter to cut down the angle, making him vulnerable to the backdoor pass. Fleury is tough to beat if you pepper him with shots, but he does have a problem if you pass around him. He's left the net wide open a few times.

It’s about time for the lie to be exposed...
They’re living a lie. They’ve been living a lie all year, men. I’m telling you right now we’re going to whip ‘em! They ain’t playing the likes of LA, Nashville, or Winnipeg anymore.

Said it before playing Colorado in Orange Bowl. Brought the heat and some tv crew caught it.
This board thought he never got anything right and couldn’t pick a game correctly. Was homer more than anyone.
