It feels so good being on the other end of this. The Bolts dominated the first two periods of play. It was a damn shooting gallery out there, just a relentless array of pucks shot at Hotlby... and he never cracked. The Caps got two flukey as hell bounces (okay, one was a bad change by the Lightning) and somehow got a 3-0 lead they had no business building. By all rights, they should have been losing.
And then the third period was simply clinical. The Lightning threw in the towel and didn't even have a shot in the first 10 minutes, and they even had a power play.
It was through the looking glass. This is the sort of thing that usually happens in Caps Games 7, just we're on the wrong end of it. I can't believe it happened.
Four more, guys. Four more. And I'm totally in on that luxury box, guys!
