I wouldn’t even have the guts to bet $5 on Golden Knights before the season. I would love to travel to Las Vegas again. I only been once. And that was when I was a youth when I was too young to enjoy much.

Nordiques went to Denver in 1995. And won it all that same year. Jets went to Phoenix the next year.

Yeah my bad on the last part. That was a duh on me moment.

If you make it back, you'll be amazed at how much the valley has mushroomed over the years. As much as I like it here, that's my one real complaint.

I would like to see the Blues make a long playoff run again. A good friend / former co--worker is from Wildwood and is a longtime Blues fan. We went to the VGK / Blues game last October. It was a weekend game, so there were quite a lot of Blues fans there. Good times.

I can only repeat what I said to a friend at the Saints' victory parade. I'd flown home the night before the Super Bowl and all of that time, I'd barely slept and was running on adrenaline. He said that I should call it an early night after the parade and go get some rest. I said, "I'm almost afraid to go to sleep. I might wake up and realize that I've dreamt all of this."

I'm pulling for the Caps tonight. Would love to see them rebound and take it in 7. Yeah, everyone's looking for them to shite the bed...but everyone also expected them to flame out against Pittsburgh. The way that this season has gone, I'm almost beyond the point of being surprised anymore.

It's obvious which team that I want to see win the Cup...though I certainly wouldn't gripe if Alexander Ovechkin got to lift it. Plus, I've been a longtime fan of T.J Oshie, especially after his shootout performance against Russia.

def want Caps to win to force the game 7

the newest excuse im reading for Winnipeg and why they lost to VGK is that they were "tired" from the 7 game series with Nash and its "not fair" the playoff system had them playing Nashville in round 2

Jets sure didn't look tired in Game 1. You'd think that's when the "VGK rest" advantage would have been most evident.

After Game 1, here's how that series went for Winnipeg.

When the Bolts have controlled the play, they've scored. When the Caps have, they haven't. And that's the series. Caps dominated play in Game 4, but didn't turn that dominance into goals. Bolts dominated Game 5, and built a 3-goal lead.

Still, play has been pretty even between the two and its a winnable series for either team. But I'd bet on the Lightning.

That's what ultimately killed the Jets. They dominated large sections of Games 3 and 4 but couldn't put VGK away. Granted, Fleury had a lot to do with that but sometimes, they shot themselves in the foot as well. They tied up Game 4 in the 3rd period and had all of the momentum...then with 7 minutes left, Dustin Byfuglien gets a back pass from Brandon Taney, completely whiffs on the shot attempt...and suddenly, Reilly Smith is off and running the other way, scoring the game winner.

The going theory on this is the team that played a tough series is still sharp and focused for game 1 and beats the rusty team with time off. Then, they eventually run out of gas. Also, see Tampa coming back on Boston after Game 1.

I gave some thought to that and the way that Game 1 played out, it certainly has merit. VGK were very shaky early and made it a bit of a game after they found their footing. It didn't help that they got 2 very stupid penalties early. Jets turned both of those into PP goals.

I'm sure the the Finals won't start until Sunday or Monday, so both teams should be rested...especially if the Lightning can close their series out tonight.

The only reason I want TB to win tonight is because it will be cheaper for me to go to a Stanley cup game. Other than that, let these too beat each other up

As a Caps fan...I will be watching for the eternal sadness that is the life of being a Caps fan.

I expect a dominating game by the Caps that ultimately leads to a 2-0 loss.

If we are going to lose this series...just end it...I cannot take a Game 7.

I don't know, I can't be too upset by this series. The Lightning are a better team. I think the Caps have played slightly better at evens (and a lot worse on special teams), but not at "Oh, Why God?!" levels. This has been an even series, and someone has to win it. But losing it wouldn't be a massive karmic injustice (nor would coming back and winning it in 7).

I'm happy with this run for this team. They've played as well as they could be expected. This isn't last year's team.
