I heard that on Mad Dog this afternoon and was going to post it for you. At least we can't blame Tay Tay for the delay.

I know it seems like there isn't much to dislike with Tampa, but just wait until they are coming at you in waves and Cooper is chomping his gum and smirking the entire game.

Yeah if I had to bet on who would win it all out of the current field, I would probably take Tampa. They have no weaknesses -- elite offensive players, all 4 lines can score and generate chances at a solid to high rate, strong defensive players in Hedman (this guy is one of the league's best), McDonough, Surgachev, Stralman, Coburn; Girardi is probably the weakest defenseman, and even he is no slouch and scored an OT winner against Boston. On top of that Vasilevskiy is a terrific goal keeper. Top to bottom, they have the players to win it all and the consistency; only off game they have had was game one against Boston and that proved to be a real outlier that was probably attributable to the layoff they got between rounds 1 and 2.

I think they got snake-bitten in 2015 when they lost to Chicago in 6 really close games, Bishop (now with Dallas) and Johnson got injured early in that series; they still have a lot of the guys from that team and have just added some good pieces in addition, with a better goalie. They seem like a team on a mission. Beating that Boston team in 5 games is probably the most impressive series victory of these playoffs so far. But its the playoffs and you never know what can happen. Caps are a really good team with elite players, maybe not as good as last year top to bottom but still really dangerous. And that win over the Pens might give them some belief that this is their year. It should be a good series, if Tampa wins it will take more than 5 for sure. It will help the Caps that they get some time to rest, hopefully Backstrom can return.

I'm excited for Nashville-Winnipeg game 7, fitting that the series between best 2 regular season teams goes 7. But two whole days with no hockey!

You can't take defensive defenseman high any more. Haydn Fleury was a bad pick.

Um...why move the JT show when they don't have to do so? Seems like they would get the most revenue by having both events.

Is there a Game 7 tonight? I hadn't noticed. I was too busy watching Game 6 of the Caps-Pens series over and over.

I'd like Nashville to win so it will be Tampa vs Nash in the Cup. Best team in the NHL vs the best in the West is a good matchup for a Final.

Ticket restrictions in the NHL, especially during playoff games, aren't unheard of. What is odd is enforcing a dress code.

That's exactly what the Lightning are doing when they host the Capitals for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals Friday.

According to the team's website, Capitals fans will not be allowed to wear red or anything with the team's logo if their seats are in the Lightning's Lexus Lounge, which includes seats against the glass, or in the Chase Club luxury suites. Instead, they will have to wear neutral colors.

“Fans wearing visiting team-branded apparel will be asked to remove such apparel while in these areas,” the team said.

Tickets for Capitals fans are already limited, since Tampa Bay will not allow anyone who doesn't reside in Florida to purchase a ticket through the team site or Ticketmaster.

“Orders by residents outside of Florida will be canceled without notice and refunds given,” the team said.

According to Lightning executive vice president of communications Bill Wickett, the measures are to enforce the representation of Lighting fans in the arena.

“It’s just an added measure to keep our building as blue as possible,” Wickett said

The Bolts are scared of a take over. Its not like DC is a short drive to tampa

Too bad tons of DC transplants live in the tampa area.

The dress code is pretty lame in my view. If they had the dough to buy the tickets then they should wear whatever they want.

You are probably right. Jets really needed to close this out in Game 6.
