Toronto will be back next year. They've got a young team to build this off of. Frederik Andersen played inconsistent this series and gave up way too many soft goals.

This was a great series.

That is very interesting CBC wanted the Maple Leafs game on Saturday night. But since they didn't advance it would have made sense to put the Jets game on at that time. But that's not what happened. Oh well, I like that NBC is showing a Golden Knights game at that time!

They need two things.

1. Veteran #1 or #2 defenseman, preferably with a ton of playoff experience. Mike Green would be a perfect free agent signing if he passes a physical. John Carlson or Dion Phinoff would also be a good fit. They have enough forwards they could go for broke and make a package for Erik Karlsson but I would be a little concerned about Karlsson's health after this past season. He never seemed right all year.

2. Veterans with playoff experience period. Other than Marleau and Hainsey they have none and it showed in the third period last night.

They will probably lose Van Riemsdyk in free agency but that's okay. They have plenty of players who can put the puck in the net. What they need is more players who can keep it out.

This is fine. Tampa will rape Boston.

I'm picking them over Boston but I think it's a 50/50 series that is going to go seven games. Don't think that Tampa has an advantage with having a week off. Go back to the regular season and look how teams played in their first game after their five day bye period. Most of them did not look good and lost their first game back.

BTW for everyone blaming Anderson for the loss, without him this is a four or five game series and not a seven game series. From one to six Toronto probably had the worst defensemen of any team that made the playoffs. You can't win in the playoffs playing offense only.

If the Pens win tonight without Malkin/Hagelin this series is over.

The Caps have won Game 1 in 8 of its 10 series with the Penguins. They have then lost 9 of 10 series against the Penguins. Thinking Game 1 is a must win is completely contrary to history.

Yeah I firmly am against any kind of history having anything to do with sports 99% of the time.

The Caps have to win tonight while Malkin is out of the lineup.

I see one CNBC game. I’ll have to watch the rest on NBC or CBC. So are the Bruins Goons, Apes, or Assholes?

Could have just called them the Marchants and had all three categories covered.
