They slap the court like no other

They bring their lunch pails (that are prepared by mama) to work

They are technically sound

They are like coaches on the court

Danny Broussard. I used to go to his camps as a kid. Teaching fundamentals and work ethic.

5th through 8th grade at the feeder schools are all coached by former players. The kids have been playing together, in the system, for 4 years when they show up as freshmen.

I'm certain that helps now, but how about the eighties when they started? His brother who coached at LSU too was there the first year, and him ever since! They've been good since day one!

They used to steal kids from my HS back in the early 2000s to play on their team.

My first experience of witnessing kids be recruited while already enrolled at another school in a different parish.

They hold a decent chunk of kids back in K through 3rd grade, so aren’t there teams usually a little older too?

How does STM hold back 5 yr old to 8 yr old kids when it is a HS that starts enrollment in the 9th grade ?

The feeder elementary schools are Fatima and Cathedral Carmel. Alumni and parents whose children attend(ed) those schools can attest if they hold back kids for sports in K-3rdG.

Danny Broussard came from Meaux High School. A Class C school that constantly drug their balls all over every size school in the area. Every day players shot free throws for recess and lunch. Practice everyday from the first week of the school year. Fundamentals all day.
