Women's basketball and women's softball. I've never seen more missed layups and traveling violations that aren't called than when I watch a women's basketball game. It's awful. As for women's softball, generally you have a 6'2" amazon on the mound throwing bb's from what seems like 4 and half feet away from the batters. Half the batters are trying to do some half bunting half swinging kinda crap. The other half are trying to do just a normal bunt, and the reason why is that none of them can even see the ball coming b/c the freaking pitcher is so damn close! And then she jumps towards home plate when she pitches. The worst part is when the umpire is giving her 6 inches off the plate and then even the bunters have no chance. As if she needed it. What a freaking terrible sport! I'm done!

P.S. The only reason I ever watch either of these horrible sports is if LSU's playing in a big game, and after it is done, each time I swear that I will never watch another one again.

In basketball, both teams are in the game in the last five minutes in like 90% of NBA games. There are no real major turning points where the game greatly changes. Yeah, a team can go on a 10-0 run in the second quarter, but that rarely puts the game out of reach

Ok , I have seen many absolute mismatch blow-outs in the NBA , unfortunately the Hornets have been on the wrong end of some.....as for what the thread loosely fits( I agree loosely) I totally read it to be a thinly veiled diss to the game of basketball because the OP stated that he doesn't get the LOVE for the game of basketball not the game itself. I don't like sports where there isn't constant motion going on. As a matter of fact , I really don't consider a lot of the shite being posted AS a sport. Now I will excuse myself and you may continue

NASCAR

I seriously can't think of a single positive quality about NASCAR. Soccer, MLB, and golf are all fairly boring to watch on tv, but I still can watch them, especially golf. NASCAR is not watchable.

soccer and basketball are my 2 favorite sports because spontaneity/improvisation are so important in them. gel and chemistry are so vital and you have to know where people are going to be, without having a set place to be. it's amazing.

High school football. I don't understand how grown men can sit around for four hours and watch 16 and 17-year-old kids play the sport so poorly.

You obviously didn't grow up around good high school football.

Wrong. A few NFL players attended my high school and there are/were plenty of "good" teams in the district. I grew up in a city where there's more to do on a weekend than watch kiddos play football and hang out at Sonic.

Just do not understand the draw of redneck circle racing. I understand racing but driving in circles is just dumb.

Also don't understand hockey. I've only been to one hockey match? event? game? I'm not even sure what a game is called. It was a lot of fun, but as soon as I got home and tried to watch a game on TV I just felt lost.

We had a hockey minor league team here for awhile it was the hottest ticket in town for a few years, they would promote fights more than anything else. Eventually the novelty wore off.
