Pick up baseball games in vacant lots every day during the summer. Most were age 7-9. This was 1950s with no adult supervision. You don't see that anymore.

By the time we were 10 years old and eligible for Little League we had some serious skills.

When I played little league baseball it was putting on the catchers equipment. Biddy Basketball was the weekend tournaments. Also during little league catching foul balls and returning them at the concession stand got you a free coke! that was the tits.

Its not meant to depress!

I also miss how generic NFL pregame shows were and I miss the Houston Oilers. Nothing better than Browns vs. Oilers at noon on Sunday. Money and technology screw everything up! Damn, now I am getting depressed!

I remember the whole team piling in the back of the coach's pickup truck to go from the school to the ballfield.

If he had wrecked or slammed on his brakes, there would have been 15 dead or seriously hurt kids.

Good Times!!!

Being pumped up during football season when it stopped raining. We always knew it was time for a "mud game" of tackle football. We rutted up a vacant field so badly one time that it took over a year before we could play on it again.

Going to Skip Bertmans with the whole team.

Batting practice, play some hoops, a little put put, and begging your parents to buy you something from the pro shop.

Being excited to find out what baseball team you were gonna be on and who your sponsor was gonna be.

Best: Tony Chachere's
Worst: 10-k (we looked like highlighters)
